A bareboat charter is a type of yacht rental where the crew is not included in the charter price. In this case, the renter or their hired crew is responsible for operating the yacht, similar to renting a car. On the other hand, a crewed charter provided by Party Yachts involves their permanently hired crew taking charge of operating the vessel and ensuring the renters’ well-being. Party Yachts offers both bareboat and crewed charter services, and customers can request a Transport Canada letter of compliance for either option.

We have anti-slip teak and/or synthetic wood flooring installed on all our yachts, and these surfaces are best experienced barefoot to prevent slip and fall accidents. To avoid damage to the yacht’s flooring and decks, we enforce a strict no-shoe policy. So you can’t wear shoes on board. We will collect and store your shoes in one of the yacht’s storage compartments.

When all passengers are there and prepared for boarding, we will start boarding everyone at once to guarantee everyone’s safety because the water near the port can be choppy at times.

Please be aware that your paid time begins at the time of the reserved slot, and your tardy arrival will eat into your paid time.

For instance, if your journey is scheduled for a 4-hour window between 12:00 and 4:00 and you arrive at 12:45, your booking will still conclude at 4:00.

We advise you to arrive 15 minutes early to allow the crew to board all passengers, allow you to settle in, and give you the safety briefing.

Please be aware that a late arrival will cut into your paid charter slot.

Absolutely, rather of focusing on expanding our profits, we prioritise doing the right thing. We thus carry 250,000 CAD insurance per passenger in addition to 500,000,000 USD in occurrence liability insurance on all of our yachts, which are also professionally insured and registered.

But, if you choose a bareboat charter as opposed to a crewed charter, you must secure your own insurance.

Absolutely, Party Yacht would love to have you and your kids.

When on the bow, children under the age of 12 must wear a life jacket; however, they are not required to do so in the salon. On each of our yachts, you may find child life jackets.

Any attire that makes you feel comfortable will do, from casual to smart casual to formal. We advise against wearing jeans or any other garment with sharp things.

Your crew is a versatile team that wears many hats! The Captain not only commands the vessel but also acts as the Chief Engineer, ensuring that all onboard systems are running smoothly. The server(s) double up as the first mate, skillfully handling ropes, assisting the Captain with docking and cleaning, and taking charge of the BBQ grill. They are also certified diving instructors, knowledgeable guides, and engaging storytellers who prioritize your safety and ensure that all your needs are met.

As with any service-related industry, the gratuity for the crew is based on your level of satisfaction and is at your discretion, typically ranging from 10-20% of the base charter cost. While this may seem like a substantial amount, it forms a significant part of the crew’s income and is a reflection of the excellent job they do. It motivates them to work harder and maintain a friendly, welcoming demeanor.

You can hand the gratuity to the Captain at the beginning or end of your booking. The gratuity is shared equally among all crew members onboard, ensuring that everyone is recognized for their contribution to making your experience unforgettable.

Light rain typically does not warrant a cancellation, as it often lasts only an hour or two during the summer months. In such cases, we can usually adjust the timing of the trip to accommodate and ensure a pleasant experience for all passengers. While we operate in all weather conditions, our preference is always for clear skies and sunshine.

However, in the event of heavy rain or unsafe weather conditions, we ask clients to provide us with three alternative dates and times in order of preference. We will then make every effort to reschedule the charter for one of these options. It’s important to note that weather-induced rescheduling is solely at the discretion of the Captain and not the client.
